Basketball Recap: Franklin Gets the Win

If Madison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin, they should've done a better job of containing Kendol Roberts. The Wildcats walked away with a 59-48 win over the Mohawks on Saturday for which the team can thank Roberts, who almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Franklin's points.

Despite the loss, Madison still got an impressive performance from Dylon Smith, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 15 points and five assists. Gavin Johnson also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Franklin's record is now 6-13. As for Madison, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Coming up, Franklin will welcome Stebbins at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Madison, they will take on Carlisle at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
