            Softball Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Pike Central Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Princeton is 2-8 against Pike Central since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Chargers at 5:00  p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Princeton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13  runs  on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Heritage Hills  on Wednesday. They lost  17-1 to the Patriots. The  matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Princeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Charli Kinder, who  went 1-for-2 with one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Pike Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Heritage Hills, falling  12-0. Chargers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Patriots since  on Monday.
 Princeton now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Pike Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Princeton skirted past Pike Central  6-5 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
