Volleyball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

The East Ridge Raptors came up short against the Irondale Knights on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, East Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lali Chang had eight digs and two assists.

Wade Vang had a dynamite game For Irondale., getting nine digs and two aces. What's more, Vang racked up 34 assists, the most he's had over his last five contests. Thomas Ta also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Irondale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

East Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Stillwater on the 1st. As for Irondale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Spring Lake Park on the 2nd.
