Basketball Recap: Verden Takes a Loss

Verden won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 62-40 to the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Verden has suffered since February 16th.

Verden moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Verden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-24 loss against Union City on the 14th. Mountain View-Gotebo has also already played their next match, a 46-40 victory against Hinton on the 14th.
