Softball Recap: Spackenkill Comes Up Short

Spackenkill lost against New Paltz back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans lost 17-4 to the Huguenots. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isabella Gilmore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Spackenkill suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2. As for New Paltz, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Spackenkill and New Paltz will both be playing Marlboro Central the next time they take the field. The Huguenots will head out to face the Dukes at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
