Volleyball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Buckhorn Bucks. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bucks 25-15 in the first set.

Southside started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Buckhorn, they moved to 25-12 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Southside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Jasper on the 27th. As for Buckhorn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Homewood on the 27th.
