Soccer Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Takes a Loss

Juan Diego Catholic lost against Park City back in October of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Soaring Eagle lost 6-1 to the Miners. Juan Diego Catholic were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Natalia Shepard, who's now up to six this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Juan Diego Catholic and nudges their season record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-3 Highland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Park City, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Juan Diego Catholic is set to face off against their familiar foe Judge Memorial Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Park City will square off against rival Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
