Baseball Recap: Norfork Extends Winning Streak to 11

Norfork had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Monday. They beat the Calico Rock Pirates by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Norfork pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Calico Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Norfork will challenge Scranton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calico Rock, they will square off against Concord at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
