Football Recap: Calvert Cavaliers vs. Patuxent Panthers
Calvert was the 19-14 winner over Patuxent when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Calvert Cavaliers lost 35-14 to the Patuxent Panthers on Friday. The Cavaliers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

It was another big night for Evan Blouir, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 293 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes for Patuxent. Blouir's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards. Keiden Gutierrez also helped out as he racked up 162 receiving yards.
Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Patuxent, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert will host Friendly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvert is facing Friendly at the right time seeing as Friendly is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Patuxent, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against McDonough at 7:00 p.m. Patuxent knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully McDonough likes a good challenge.
