Basketball Recap: Linville Hill Finds Playoff Glory Versus Coventry Christian

Linville Hill extended their postseason success on Friday against Coventry Christian. Everything went their way against Coventry Christian as they made off with a 51-31 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Linville Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Tibbins, who posted 14 points and six assists. That's the most points Tibbins has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Stephen Smucker, who had ten points.

The win (which was Linville Hill's eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-2. As for Coventry Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Linville Hill will welcome Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linville Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season. As for Coventry Christian, they will host Mount Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Calvary Christian also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
