Basketball Recap: Drew Takes a Loss

If Drew was riding high fresh off their 62-40 takedown of Jewish Community last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Drew Dragons took an 81-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinewood Panthers on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (62), the Dragons still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Drew still got an impressive performance from Kian Chan, who posted 22 points and five rebounds. The contest was Chan's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Ordonez Reyes, who scored 15 points.

Drew's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Pinewood, they moved to 10-9 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Drew will host San Francisco Waldorf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season. As for Pinewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Harker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
