Basketball Preview: Oklahoma Christian Saints vs. Millwood Falcons
The Oklahoma Christian Saints will head out on the road to take on the Millwood Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully the Falcons like a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Oklahoma Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Christian Heritage, posting a 79-46 win at home. Given Oklahoma Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Crusaders are ranked 119th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Ada scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Millwood still came out on top. Millwood escaped with a win against the Cougars by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Millwood.
Oklahoma Christian's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Millwood, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Oklahoma Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oklahoma Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
