Football Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lugoff-Elgin and Irmo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lugoff-Elgin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 41-16. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked fourth).

Although Lugoff-Elgin took the loss, they still got scores from Jar'Kese Grant and Keenan Cunningham.

Lugoff-Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Irmo, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Lugoff-Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irmo, they have already played their next matchup, a 28-14 win against White Knoll on the 21st.
