Volleyball Recap: Silverado's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Silverado can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions on Saturday. The Skyhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mountain Lions earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Penina Fakatoumafi paced Silverado's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fakatoumafi got some help from Kendra Ryan and her 23 assists. Marlee Fakatoumafi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

With the defeat, Silverado broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-14. As for Sierra Vista, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-12.

As of now, neither Silverado nor the Mountain Lions have any future games scheduled.
