Liberty hadn't done well against Kerman recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hawks skirted past the Lions 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on six straight.

Liberty wouldn't go down easily and took Kerman into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-27, 25-22, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Kerman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alicia Valle had 12 digs and four aces.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for Kerman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Firebaugh on the 28th. As for Kerman, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Justin Garza on the 28th.
