It was a good run, but Kearny unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 67-42 to the Canyon Hills Rattlers . For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Komets have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Kearny saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cameron Ackerman went 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Valladarez, who posted six points.

Kearny's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7. As for Canyon Hills, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-13 record.

Kearny didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-56 victory against High Tech SD on the 31st. Canyon Hills has also already played their next contest, a 43-39 defeat against La Jolla on the 31st.
