Basketball Recap: Forrest County Agricultural Finds Home Court Redemption Against Columbia

There's no place like home for Forrest County Agricultural, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past the Columbia Wildcats 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aggies have posted against the Wildcats since January 24, 2017.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sariya Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 boards. Robinson has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Jakira Brown was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Forrest County Agricultural is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Columbia, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Forrest County Agricultural wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-42 victory against Lawrence County on the 10th. As for Columbia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-17 win against Poplarville on the 10th.
