Dwight-Englewood is 9-1 against Ridgefield Memorial since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Royals at 4:15 p.m. Dwight-Englewood's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Ridgefield Memorial's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Dwight-Englewood's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Midland Park hitters got past them. The Bulldogs lost 10-0 to the Panthers on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Ridgefield Memorial won against Leonia on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Royals beat the Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-8. While the Royals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Ridgefield Memorial and bumps their season record up to 6-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Dwight-Englewood, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Dwight-Englewood took their victory against Ridgefield Memorial when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
