Basketball Recap: Camelback Sets Scoring Season-High Against Browne

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camelback). They took down the Browne Bruins 88-73 on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Camelback's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylin Ideran led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. The game was Ideran's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aken Logan, who posted 27 points.

Browne lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tony Bayigamba, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Desmynn Beavers-Smith was another key player, going 5 for 9 to rack up 12 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Camelback's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Browne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.

Camelback wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 101-79 win against South Mountain on the 6th. As for Browne, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-54 loss against Cesar Chavez on the 6th.
