Basketball Recap: Audrey Broussard Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Faith Training Christian Academy

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 36) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Faith Training Christian Academy 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Storm have posted since November 11, 2024.

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrey Broussard led the charge by putting up eight points and six steals. That's the most steals Broussard has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Malorie Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

Several Faith Training Christian Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leah Choi, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. Grace Rougeau was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.6 points per game. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics has already played their next contest, a 40-32 loss against NELA Christian Homeschool on the 24th. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 31-26 win against Mount Olive Christian on the 24th.
