Volleyball Recap: Ary Guzman Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerville, Knightstown was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Waldron Mohawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Mohawks since August 31, 2017.

Knightstown never let Waldron on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-9.

Knightstown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ary Guzman out in front who had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Guzman has posted over her last nine matchups.

Several Mohawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emerson Lindsey, who had 17 digs.

Knightstown's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Waldron, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
