Vance County is a perfect 6-0 against Carrboro since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Vance County is taking a road trip to challenge Carrboro at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Vance County didn't have quite enough to beat J.F. Webb and fell 8-7. The Vipers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Carrboro's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 15-3 to Riverside-Durham. The matchup marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Carrboro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Lackland, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Lackland also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Carrboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Vance County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Vance County took their victory against Carrboro in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vance County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
