Softball Recap: Marionville Comets vs. Reeds Spring Wolves
The Marionville Comets made easy work of the Reeds Spring Wolves on Tuesday and carried off a 10-4 victory.

Ashlin Carr made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Maggie Murphy and Annaliyah Ghan did most of the damage at the plate: Murphy went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double, while Ghan scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those two triples gave Murphy a new career-high. Brooklyn Holder was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Marionville's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Reeds Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coming up, Marionville is taking a road trip to square off against Spokane at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Marionville's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Reeds Spring, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Greenfield at 5:00 p.m.
