Soccer Game Preview: Riverdale vs. Monmouth-Roseville

Riverdale hasn't had much luck against Monmouth-Roseville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Rams will take on the Titans at 11:00 a.m. Riverdale has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverdale is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Dixon on Saturday. They lost 9-0 to the Dukes & Duchesses.

Monmouth-Roseville fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Streator/Woodland. That's two games straight that Monmouth-Roseville have won by just one goal.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Monmouth-Roseville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13-2.

Riverdale might still be hurting after the 7-2 defeat they got from Monmouth-Roseville when the teams last played back in August. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
