Baseball Game Preview: Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats vs. Arkport Central Bluejays

Jasper-Troupsburg hasn't had much luck against Arkport Central recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wildcats will head out to face off against the Bluejays at 10:00 a.m. Jasper-Troupsburg has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jasper-Troupsburg is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They lost 16-6 to Avoca Central.

Meanwhile, Arkport Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Lakers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Arkport Central's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Jasper-Troupsburg might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from Arkport Central in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
