Baseball Game Preview: Berry Cardinals vs. Olympic Trojans

Berry is 1-9 against Olympic since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cardinals will square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Neither Berry nor Olympic posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Myers Park hit Berry with a eight-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals lost 13-1 to the Mustangs.

Berry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Olympic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against Palisades, falling 16-0.

Olympic's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Berry, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Everything went Berry's way against Olympic when the teams last played on Tuesday, as Berry made off with a 20-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
