Baseball Recap: Ayden - Grifton Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Ayden - Grifton's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Parker Roland was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Ayden - Grifton pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-3.

Ayden - Grifton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
