Football Game Preview: Liberty Hill Panthers vs. Lanier Voks + How To Watch

The Liberty Hill Panthers will welcome the Lanier Voks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty Hill will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Liberty Hill against Bastrop as the squad secured a 48-14 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 34 points or more this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Pierre Dylan Belinga and Jack Travis Pitchford. Dylan Belinga rushed for 206 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per carry while Travis Pitchford rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Travis Pitchford also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending two passes.

One reason for the win was Liberty Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Alister Vallejo refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Liberty Hill got some further help from Vallejo: he picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-18, which was the final score in Lanier's tilt against Burbank on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Voks have suffered against the Bulldogs since November 9, 2017.

Liberty Hill's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lanier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
