Baseball Recap: Pine Ridge Drops Season-High Score on Seminole

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Ridge). They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Seminole Seminoles on Friday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 6-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Seminole's batters probably weren't too happy with Loren Cheatham, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up a single walk). What's more, Cheatham gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Kenny Capria was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christopher Kable, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Pine Ridge and bumps their season record up to 4-2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Seminole, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Pine Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-3 victory against Umatilla on the 4th. As for Seminole, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-5 loss against Lake Howell on the 4th.
