Basketball Recap: Valley Catholic Falls Short of Amity in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Valley Catholic can now relate to. They were dealt a 60-30 defeat at the hands of the Amity Warriors on Friday. The Valiants were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.

Valley Catholic's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points on average over those games. As for Amity, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 27-0.

Valley Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amity, they will challenge Coquille at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
