Basketball Recap: Fultondale Wildcats vs. Cordova Blue Devils
Fultondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Blue Devils.
Cordova was led to victory by Ali Simon and Ella Grace Madison. Simon dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Grace Madison almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists. Simon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bethany Sims, who earned six points along with two steals.
Fultondale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Cordova, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Fultondale will challenge Pinson Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cordova, they will square off against Sulligent at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
