Recap: Peach County Trojans vs. Perry Panthers
The Peach County Trojans can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 67-35 victory over Perry. The victory was nothing new for Peach County as they're now sitting on six straight.
Peach County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexia Heyward, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Atiana Gilcrist, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Peach County's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Perry, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Peach County will head out on the road to take on Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mary Persons focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. As for Perry, Perry and Griffin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Griffin is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
