Scotland comes up short despite Jaquez Caldwell's dominant performance

Recap: Scotland Fighting Scots vs. Westover Wolverines

It was a good run, but the Scotland Fighting Scots unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a serious blow against Westover, falling 82-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Scotland in their matchups with Westover: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Scotland still got an impressive performance from Jaquez Caldwell, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Shyland Harrell was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.

Westover was led to victory by Ari Fulton and Malachi Allen. Fulton scored 19 points along with six rebounds, while Allen scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. Fulton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was DeMarious Hall, who scored 14 points.

Scotland's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Westover, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scotland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Richmond has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 522 points over their last six matchups. As for Westover, they will be playing at home against Seventy-First at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seventy-First is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
