Baseball Recap: Brito Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Brito had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Miami Christian Victors on Tuesday, sneaking past 14-12. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Victors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Cristopher Guzman was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claudio De Los Santos, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Brito kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Brito now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Miami Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-18.

Coming up, Brito will head out on the road to face off against St. Johns Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Spartans will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Miami Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
