Basketball Recap: Cannon Falls Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Tuesday, the Cannon Falls Bombers were able to grind out a solid victory over the Cotter Ramblers, taking the game 70-58. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Ramblers are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Cannon Falls and bumps their season record up to 23-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.5 points over those games. As for Cotter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Cannon Falls nor Cotter have any future games scheduled.
