Western Illinois Valley - North recap Oct. 23, 2012

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's Tanner Huddleston rumbled for the longest rushing play in Western Illinois Valley - North this season in his game against North Greene last week.

Central/Southeastern extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Calhoun/Brussels, 62-8. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Seth Leezer and Dalton Heubner gave Central/Southeastern a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Leezer threw for 27 yards and one touchdown, while Heubner ran for 134 yards. Teammate Douglas Weese added to the ground attack by rushing for 128 yards.

Nick Lonergan was the best wideout in the league this week as Routt Catholic lost to Greenfield/Northwestern. Lonergan tallied four receptions for 43 yards. Josiah Overton helped Routt Catholic's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.

6-foot-1 quarterback Huddleston of the Trojans is the league leader in passing yards this season with 629. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Panthers' Heubner has rushed for 1181 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Alex Blickhan. The Unity/Seymour star has 17 catches for 202 yards.

Central/Southeastern took down the Warriors 62-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Heubner in the win.
