            Softball Recap: Roseburg Indians vs. South Eugene Axe        
        
		
        
        
            Roseburg's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They never let the South Eugene Axe get on the board and left with  a   14-0  victory. The  win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Axe: they've now won nine in a row.
 Jasmine Morales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in May of 2024.

 In other batting news,  Cadence Ellenwood was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Terra Singleton was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Roseburg was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .457. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Roseburg's record is now 12-3. As for South Eugene,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Roseburg beat the Axe by a score of  14-2 later that day.
