Basketball Recap: Valliant Takes a Loss

Valliant lost against Wright City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Valliant Bulldogs lost 66-42 to the Wright City Lumberjax.

Braileigh Threadgill was a one-woman wrecking crew for Wright City as she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Threadgill a new career-high in points. Mia Reich was another key player, going 6 of 9 on her way to 16 points and six boards.

Valliant's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Wright City, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

The future could be bright for both Valliant and Wright City: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Valliant will look to extend Tishomingo's four-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Wright City will try to hand Antlers their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
