Recap: Franklinton Rams vs. Bunn Wildcats
The Franklinton Rams waltzed into their game on Friday with 17 straight wins but they left with 18. They claimed a resounding 59-10 victory over Bunn at home. Franklinton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.
Mikayla Taborn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that she grabbed two or more steals. Rihanna Hunt was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Bunn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mercedes Fowler. Despite the final result, she scored six points.
Franklinton's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Bunn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklinton will stay at home for another game and welcome Northern Nash at 6:15 p.m. on February 9th. One thing working in Franklinton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Bunn, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southern Nash at 5:45 p.m.
