Basketball Game Preview: Calvert Senecas vs. Kalida Wildcats

Two dominant guards in Alyssa Rishty and Addilyn Huber are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Calvert Senecas will challenge the Kalida Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Calvert comes in on four and Kalida on 11.

If Calvert beats Kalida with 61 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Calvert beat Arcadia on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 61-47.

Meanwhile, Kalida extended their postseason success on Saturday against McComb. They took down the Panthers 58-40.

Kalida found their leader in sophomore Huber, who went 6-for-10 en route to 16 points and three steals. Huber has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Meredith Bockrath was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Calvert's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Kalida, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
