Basketball Recap: Uvalde Takes a Loss

Uvalde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Somerset Bulldogs 78-38. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1233rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 281st).

Uvalde's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Somerset, they pushed their record up to 17-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Uvalde will challenge Pearsall at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset has already played their next game (against Carrizo Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
