Baseball Recap: Henley Picks Up 14th Consecutive Win

Henley waltzed into their game on Saturday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Hidden Valley Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly four runs.

Beau Pyle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mark Carpenter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Henley's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Hidden Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, Henley and Hidden Valley will both be playing Mazama the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
