Football Recap: Western Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Western got themselves on the board against Somerset Academy - Canyons on Thursday, but Somerset Academy - Canyons never followed suit. They blew past the Cougars, posting a 27-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Western didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tearra Mortimer, Isasbella Escandon, TT McFadden, and Ashley Smith picked up one apiece.

The win was the eighth in a row for Western, bringing their record up to 11-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points on average over those games. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
