Basketball Recap: Bluegrass Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bluegrass can now relate to. They took a hard 71-57 fall against the Indianapolis Northwest W Warriors on Thursday. The Blazers were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in November of 2018.

Indianapolis Northwest W's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh Bowers led the charge by dropping a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. That's the most points Bowers has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryland Dolan, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 25 points and six rebounds.

Bluegrass' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Bluegrass didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 95-92 win against Columbus HomeSchool on the 21st. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, they have also already played their next game, a 51-38 victory against Christian Educational Consortium on the 21st.
