Godby and Munroe are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will host the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses dating back to last season for Godby and three for Munroe.

It was a proper cat-fight when Godby faced off against Jefferson County on Thursday. The Cougars lost 13-1 to the Tigers.

Godby saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tytus Evans, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Elijah Lawson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Munroe came up short against Altha on Thursday, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly ten runs.

Jon Gay made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Godby's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Munroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Godby got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2024 against Munroe by a conclusive 20-2 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
