Football Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Cosumnes Oaks unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 19-0 to the Liberty Ranch Hawks.

Avery Nogosek threw for 81 yards on 12 of 25 attempts. Abby Greene was her top target, picking up 55 receiving yards.

Cosumnes Oaks wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Valley on the 26th. As for Liberty Ranch, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Vacaville on the 23rd.
