Volleyball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Takes a Loss

Ironwood Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Marin Catholic Wildcats.

Ironwood Ridge's offense was headlined by Kendyl Shields and Ashlyn Quiri, who picked up two kills apiece. They were helped by Lydia Litkenhus and Marcella Landers, who contributed two assists each. Quiri was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Ironwood Ridge now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Marin Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Ironwood Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Mica Mountain on the 9th. As for Marin Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Terra Linda on the 6th.
