Basketball Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. Elkin Buckin' Elks + How To Watch

The Forbush Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Elkin Buckin' Elks at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Forbush will be strutting in after a victory while Elkin will be coming in after a defeat.

Forbush will bounce into Monday's game after beating Atkins, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons came out on top against the Camels by a score of 61-51 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Elkin came up short against East Surry on Thursday and fell 83-75. The Buckin' Elks have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Forbush will have to contain Charlie Pelkey as he made an impact in Elkin's last game. He shot 53% from the field en route to 26 points. That was a full 34.7% of Elkin's points, marking the third time in a row Pelkey has posted more than a third of the team's points. Grant Ballard was another key player, going 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Elkin fell to 2-1. As for Forbush, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Things could have been worse for Forbush, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-56 loss to Elkin in their previous meeting on Monday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pelkey, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 27 points in addition to five assists and five steals.
