Baseball Recap: Robinson Falls Short of Newton in the Playoffs

Robinson and Newton squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Robinson had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 two weeks ago.

Robinson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Green, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Robinson dropped their record down to 12-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Newton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-14.

As of now, neither Robinson nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
