Volleyball Recap: Hoover Find Success

Hoover was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hazel Green Trojans, sneaking past 2-1. The Buccaneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Hoover had a senior duo take command as Cheyenne Conner had 22 digs and two assists and Addison Jenkins had 18 assists and five digs. Jenkins has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Hoover is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-17 record this season. As for Hazel Green, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 27-8 record.

Hoover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Homewood on the 3rd. As for Hazel Green, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Montgomery Academy on the 4th.
